There is a feeling that it’s overdue a significant refurbishment, but comfortable stay overall. Important note: this might be a cultural difference, but the inclusive spa visit makes flip-flops AND swimming cap mandatory - if you don’t have your own upon arrival the hotel requires you to purchase both from the spa reception. This is somewhat unusual for a 4-star hotel in my experience, so worth specifically mentioning. "The hotel has a perfect location for cathedral beach! We had a window view of the ocean with no obstructions and most of all the owners and the staff were warm friendly and helpful.
Loved it all. Yes it is rated 2 stars,but what a wonderful place!!!"

"The room was big, clean and comfortable. The hotel was beautifully kept. The river terrace was impressive (although the weather was not brilliant for us - not the hotel’s fault!). Ample parking and well located for a short walk into town."
